- Set default doesn't really have any relationship to styles. Set
- default tells the program to save the currently chosen type specs as
- the default type specs available when you first run Final Writer. So,
- if you choose "red" as the color and set default on it, then the next
- time you run the program, your text should automatically be red when
- you start typing.
-
- From the Layout menu, select Define Styles. This is where you can
- build color-specific styles (that don't change any other attributes).
- You can even attach a function key to the styles so, for example, you
- could have the following:
-
- F1: Black
- F2: Red
- F3: Green
- F4: Blue
- etc...
-
- When you do define a color-only style, turn off the paragraph and tab
- definitions for those styles. Then click on the 'type' button and
- turn off all the checkmarks on the right except for the 'color'
- checkmark. Select your color on the left and click on OK. Then click
- on the FKey click-tab (just underneath the 'type' button) and pick a
- function key that you want to use to call up this style. Now click on
- accept (in the middle) and then OK. Piece of cake. :-)
